Philosophical Pairs

plenty of bright yellow flowers popping up after the week of sunshine
which led me to thinking about why and when some flowers are deemed to be weeds and therefore unwanted while others are welcomed and nurtured.

I for one like dandelions - both their bright yellow flowers and the soft balls of seed heads.

All contributions to pairs welcome - I promise no banishment!

They are indeed both beautiful. I love dandelions to look at but not so keen when I am trying to weed my garden. Those long troublesome roots.

Yes I like them too. Dandelions always seem so resolutely cheerful

Another dandelion fan here, always determinedly cheerful. My Grantie used to make dandelion wine with the flower heads and salad with the leaves.

Me too, I like dandelions. I think both stages, the yellow and the fluffy ball of seeds, are beautiful.

Another dandelion fan here. I like them at all stages for their cheerfulness and they make gorgeous photographic models! A really lovely Pair Helena.

One of the most creative pairs ever---love the welcome and banish! I absolutely loved dandelions growing up, but my husband is NOT a fan of them in our yard.

An intriguing title and a great question, Helena - not to mention a super set of sunshine-y photos. My father-in-law used to say that a weed was just a flower in someone's 'wrong place'.

I love them in their white puff ball seed head stage.
Do you know the A.A. Milne (Winnie the Pooh) quote: "Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them."
Thanks for hosting!
